The beginning stages of our "State Street" baskets
Our first greenhouse was a used structure purchased by Ed and Valerie Platt in the early 1980's, and rebuilt in the backyard of their historic 'softrock' Pleasant Grove home.

During the next several years Ed and Valerie and their seven children grew starts for their 1 acre garden and orchard and learned the ins and outs of operating a greenhouse.

The next generation of greenhouses came after opening our first garden center in North Orem about ten years later.  It too was used and transported from SLC and rebuilt.  It was much larger than that "backyard special," but still too small to grow everything we needed at the nursery.

After moving the nursery from North Orem to Lindon, where we had room to grow, we began slowly to add more greenhouses.

Now, 2010, we have almost 1 acre of greenhouse space where we grow groundcovers, bedding plants, both annual and perennial, vegetable starts, hanging baskets, berries and native trees and shrubs.

If you want to get a taste of Spring in the middle of the winter, come visit our many greenhouses.
